Reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions throughout the entire value chain is essential to realizing a decarbonized society.
OMRON has set "reducing greenhouse gas emissions" as one of its environmental policies, and is working to reduce emissions at each stage of product design, manufacturing, use, and disposal, while also working with suppliers to reduce GHG emissions throughout the entire value chain.
We are implementing the following initiatives in four businesses during the 1st Stage (fiscal 2022 to fiscal 2024) to achieve our 2030 targets.
We are striving to reduce greenhouse gas emissions during transportation and distribution. In Japan, we endeavor to improve transportation efficiency by using consolidated and shared delivery services, while also adopting environmentally friendly vehicles. Outside Japan, we are reducing greenhouse gas emissions by reviewing parts supply methods and minimum order quantities for parts procurement. In this way, we aim to reduce the distance and frequency of transportation between suppliers and factories.
