- February 27, 2025
OMRON Corporation (HQ: Shimogyo-Ku, Kyoto. President and CEO: Junta Tsujinaga) announced today that it has received an "A-" rating for climate change and a "B" rating for water security in a survey conducted by CDP, an international non-profit organization that provides environmental information disclosure systems.
This year, CDP surveyed over 24800 companies across the globe to assess them on the comprehensiveness of disclosure, awareness and management of environmental risks, and best practices associated with environmental leadership, such as setting ambitious and meaningful targets. The resulting score of this evaluation (from A to D) indicates OMRON's steady environmental initiatives and transparency in information disclosure in the areas of climate change and water security.
Since its founding, OMRON's mission has been to contribute to the development of society through its business, in line with its corporate philosophy of creating a better society. OMRON's current long-term vision, "Shaping the Future 2030 (SF2030)," aims at "achieving decarbonization and lower environmental impact" as one of the material sustainability issues. In particular, "reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions," "transitioning to a circular economy," and "coexisting with nature" are viewed as important environmental issues to be addressed. By ensuring effectiveness and establishing frameworks, OMRON is committed to contributing to the creation of a sustainable society and enhancing corporate value.
OMRON will continue to grow sustainably by addressing environmental issues throughout the value chain, creating social value and economic value and maximizing corporate value.
