OMRON Corporation (Kyoto, Japan; Yoshihito Yamada, President and CEO) today announced plans to establish OMRON EXPERTLINK, Co., Ltd. (OLI) on April 1, 2018. OLI will consolidate the OMRON Group human resources, general administration, and finance functions within Japan. The purpose of the new entity is to bolster the structural foundation of the OMRON Group, supporting further growth and helping the group achieve JPY1 trillion in sales, JPY100 billion in operating income, and other fiscal 2020 goals as defined under the company's VG2.0 medium-term management plan.

As the OMRON Group grows in scale, the group believes that consolidating the management resources of its increasing number of operating bases and group companies, as well as leveraging optimized group-wide risk management and back office functions, is an indispensable part of building a stronger foundation to support greater business growth. In answer to these issues, OLI will consolidate professionals with expertise in human resources, general administration, and finance, as well as the related functions, from among the 30-plus OMRON Group companies in Japan, strengthening group governance and improving operational efficiencies. The I in OLI stands for Innovation, Intelligence, and Integration. The new company will take on the challenge of creating innovative back office functions that drive new value toward further OMRON Group growth.

The new OLI* will be formed through an absorption-type merger of OMRON BUSINESS ASSOCIATES Co., Ltd. (general administrative services), OMRON FINANCE Co., Ltd. (finance and accounting services), and OMRON PERSONNEL SERVICE Co., Ltd. (human resources operations and services), with OMRON PERSONNEL SERVICE as the surviving company. OLI is part of OMRON Group efforts to create a workplace in which a diverse employee population can thrive, advancing innovations in labor processes and workstyles.

OMRON will continue to strengthen business management and functions to accelerate innovation, solving social issues through the group’s business activities.

*Human resources services currently provided through OMRON PERSONNEL SERVICES to non-group companies will continue to be offered as before.
