OMRON Selected as 2023 Platts Global Energy Awards Finalists

OMRON Corporation (HQ: Shimogyo-Ku, Kyoto. President and CEO: Junta Tsujinaga) has been selected as a finalist in 2023 Platts Global Energy Awards, an annual program by S&P Global Commodity Insights to recognize companies and individuals working on crucial, innovative, practicable solutions to tackle climate change. Also dubbed as “Oscars of Energy Industry”, the 2023 program had 21 award categories with a total of 207 companies and individuals from 33 countries selected as finalists.

Making its debut in the awards program, OMRON was selected in the “Corporate Sustainability – Energy Consumer” category. One of the key goals in OMRON’s long-term vision, Shaping the Future 2030 (SF2030) focuses on “Realizing a Carbon Neutral Society” and judges were impressed by OMRON’s efforts to promote decarbonization at its global sites. Finalists from across the world gathered in New York for the awards ceremony on Dec 7, 2023. While OMRON could not grasp the winner’s trophy, it was great to witness industry peers being recognized for their achievements. As we move towards 2030, a milestone year for SDGs, OMRON will continue to ramp up its efforts to create long-term sustainable value for global society through its innovative products and services.
