OMRON Selected as One of the “Noteworthy DX Companies 2023” In recognition of outstanding DX initiatives through co-creation with customers and partners

OMRON Corporation (HQ: Shimogyo-ku, Kyoto; President and CEO: Junta Tsujinaga) announced today that it has been selected as one of the “Noteworthy DX Companies 2023” in the “Digital Transformation Stock Selection 2023 (DX Stocks 2023)” program, jointly selected by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), the Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE), and the Information-technology Promotion Agency, Japan (IPA).

The DX Stocks program selects TSE-listed companies which have established internal systems for promoting DX that leads to enhanced corporate value, thereby achieving outstanding digital technology utilization. OMRON was selected for the “2017 Noteworthy IT Strategy Companies” under the “2017 Competitive IT Strategy Company Stock Selection” program , a predecessor to the DX Stocks program, making this the second time OMRON has received this accolade awarded to leading IT/DX companies.

<Industrial Automation Business (IAB)>
A service unique to OMRON that utilizes digital technology to support DX of manufacturing sites. Through co-creation with customers, this AI-enabled service has developed a solution that optimally adjusts the “craftsmanship” of skilled workers and other innovative applications.
- Hypertension Plus, a remote patient monitoring (RPM) service in the U.K.
<Healthcare Business (HCB)>
Supports enhancement of efficiency in the treatment of hypertensive patients by suggesting a medication plan using home blood pressure data. Through a partnership with Dorset of the U.K., verification of its clinical efficacies is under way .

This year, OMRON was rated highly in “Contribution to improving corporate value,” “Ability to realize DX,” and “Disclosure to stakeholders.” In “Contribution to improving corporate value,” in particular, OMRON’s efforts to co-create with customers and partners caught their attention, recognizing our efforts to leverage DX to produce renewed growth and enhance competitiveness by taking advantage of digital technologies to drastically change business models, etc.

In its long-term vision, “Shaping the Future 2030 (SF2030),” OMRON has identified three social issues that it should address, namely, “achievement of carbon neutrality,” “realization of a digital society,” and “extension of healthy life expectancies.” Relatedly, OMRON has positioned the first medium-term management plan for SF2030 (SF 1st Stage ) as the “transformation acceleration phase,” where it accelerates the transformation of its capabilities to create value that addresses social issues and achieve sustainable growth, thus expediting its efforts to promote DX both in terms of business operations and corporate management. Going forward, OMRON will aim to continuously offer value through the combination of its products and services, the latter of which help to solve customers’ essential issues, and transform its capabilities to adapt to medium- to long-term changes in the business environment, thus assisting in solving social issues.
