IP Awareness Raising (Patent Dojo)

Patents have become more than just one of the roleof development efforts, and are now a strategic tool that businesses need to source their competitive edge and leveraging open innovation with external partners. With this in mind, OMRON organizes "Patent Dojo," where all its engineers gather together to see their inventions in a different light and learn how to "document" such IP according to OMRON's original program that encompasses lectures and practical seminars where the skills for describing their inventions are taught. As they learn about the idea behind patents and the style of relevant documents, OMRON engineers turn their "intellect" into assets, thus continuously churning out new innovations.
