People have always been at the core of everything we do 窶 whether it is serving our current customers, anticipating the needs of future generations or providing a healthy workspace for our employees to thrive. We conduct ethical business by practicing respect for all and upholding stringent human rights standards. Our employment policies focus on generating diverse talent, who maximize the social value of our products and services. To ultimately meet the highest social standards, we continuously refine our policies and practices.
We strive to resolve social issues and needs through our businesses.
Our long-term vision for 2030 describes our priority to address trends such as aging societies or income disparities, and maximize our social value. For example, we are contributing to the extension of healthy life by building healthcare systems that enable people to lead prosperous and independent lives.
We respect human rights and strive to ensure high standards throughout the OMRON Group value chain.
Our Human Rights Policy ensures the safety and wellbeing of our employees and workers employed the OMRON Group value chain. This policy is based on the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGP), International Labor Organization (ILO) principles and Organization for Economic Cooperation, and Development (OECD) guidelines. In FY2022 we conducted human rights risk analyses and remediation at 24 global production centres, and we are further strengthening this cycle of due diligence. Localized human rights remedy mechanisms are being built into the OMRON Group value chain.
We solve social issues through our business by allowing diverse people to come together and innovate with a shared vision and goal.
To do this we have set global non-financial goals for Financial Years 2022-2024 that improve diversity and inclusion in our workplace. We are underway to achieving these targets, which for example include strengthening our ratio of women in managerial roles or higher globally. Our target is to achieve a global ratio of 18% by Financial Year 2024 and this was already 16.6% in Financial Year 2022.
We promote community involvement and social contribution activities that are tailored to local needs.
Harmonious coexistence with surrounding communities is fundamental, which is why we included the 窶+1 Goal窶 in our global non-financial targets. This allows every region to set a goal that addresses the needs of their local communities. Additionally, the OMRON Group promotes community involvement by organizing annual Founders Day activities and social contribution activities that are tailored to the needs of each country/region.
We continue our efforts to ensure fair labor practices in the OMRON Group value chain, in cooperation with suppliers.
Business ethics and compliance underlie our purchasing decisions. We work to ensure sustainable procurement practices by carefully vetting the labor and human rights practices of suppliers. This is done through auditing sites for purchasing operations, hosting workshops for buyers and operating a compliance hotline.
