OMRON to Compose a New "JPX-Nikkei Index 400"

October 17, 2013

OMRON accepted 2013 Award for Excellence in Corporate Disclosure in Electric/Precision industry from the Securities Analysts Association of Japan (SAAJ). This is the second time OMRON received the honor, following 2011.

The Awards, established in 1995 by SAAJ, aim to promote the quality and fairness of corporate disclosure from the viewpoint of securities analysts.

This year, OMRON was commended especially for its executive officers' proactive involvement in IR - for example, President's attendance to earnings announcement meetings, in which he elaborated on the company's management policy in a way to satisfy analysts' interest.

SAAJ also acknowledged OMRON as outstanding in the following:

  • IR officers' high skills in offering useful discussions, by making the most use of its "data-center" function: company-wide, detailed numerical data (e.g. by business segment/ area).
  • Continuing efforts to disclose information necessary and important for management analysis.
  • Announcement of mid-/long-term strategies, including specific numerical targets and measures (e.g. gross profit margin), capital policy and shareholder return.
