OMRON Healthcare Donates 1,000 Blood Pressure Monitors to Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Vietnam

In a significant stride towards enhancing healthcare accessibility and promoting preventive care, OMRON Healthcare took a pivotal step by donating 1,000 home blood pressure monitors and 10 professional blood pressure monitors to the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University, located in Thua Thien - Hue province, Vietnam.

The donation was unveiled during an international conference with the theme "Improving the Effectiveness of the Family Medicine Network through Innovation in Training and Research." This conference aimed to stimulate discussions on strengthening the efficacy of the Family Medicine and Primary Care Network, which is considered to be the "backbone" of Vietnam's health ecosystem.

The donation was spearheaded by Mr. Frans Velkers, MD, OMRON Healthcare Asia Pacific, and Ms. Nguyen-Le-Minh Hien, Senior Supervisor, OMRON Healthcare Vietnam. This gesture involved providing both professional and consumer digital blood pressure monitors, which will be distributed along with educational materials across five provinces.

These devices are expected to play a crucial role not only in advancing patient care but also in elevating awareness around hypertension management through preventive measures.

The event witnessed active participation from over 200 doctors, key representatives, including Mr. Pierre Du Ville, Chief Representative of the Walloon-Bruxelles Delegation (Kingdom of Belgium) in Vietnam, leaders from the Departments of Health, and medical staff from primary care levels.
