OMRON Healthcare India recently
participated in the Medical Fair India 2024 and the 8th International
Healthcare Conference, held at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai,
India. The fair was organized by Messe
Düsseldorf India and had over 350 exhibitors from 16 countries who showcased
the best healthcare technologies and equipment to more than 15,000 attendees.
This premier medical exhibition featured a panel discussion on “Global Collaboration in Medical Device Innovation” wherein Tetsuya Yamada, MD, OMRON Healthcare India shared insights on OMRON delving into the space of ECG monitoring. He emphasized OMRON’s foray into the ECG monitoring segment, which is very helpful in detecting Afib, made possible through a partnership with AliveCor, a US company, to distribute its innovative mobile home ECG monitoring device. He also shared that along with product innovation of these sorts, OMRON is also trying to address another aspect that relates to the accessibility of ECG interpretation services. This is about the real-time availability of cardiologists to interpret ECG reports of patients, which OMRON has made possible through remote patient monitoring with the renowned remote cardiac healthcare player Tricog.
OMRON also displayed its Smart Out
Patient Department (OPD) Kiosk for the first time at the exhibition. The
device, which measured various health parameters, attracted a lot of interest
from people through this platform.
The event was fruitful, resulting in numerous inquiries about
each product and offering great possibilities for turning them into sales. This event was organized
with support from Make in India, the Association of Healthcare Providers India
(AHPI), the Association of Indian Medical Device Industry (AiMeD), the
Association of Diagnostic Manufacturers of India (ADMI), the Quality and Accreditation
Institute (QAI), Voice of Healthcare (VOH), and the Global Medtech Advocacy
& Advisory Forum (GMAAF).
