Contribution to Carbon Neutrality -Challenge to the World's First Ultra-Low-Heat Relay-

More than 120 countries and regions have set themselves the target of becoming carbon neutral by 2050, and the drive to spread clean energy to solve climate change issues is accelerating around the world. However, to realize the widespread use of PV systems, which are expected to become one of the clean energy sources, it was necessary to solve the technical challenge of 'reducing the heat generated by PV facilities'. OMRON, which is taking on the challenge of solving social issues by providing solutions that combine devices and modules, resolved to reducing the heat generated by relays, which are key devices in PV systems, and thereby reducing the heat generated by the facilities as a whole. Behind the success of developing an innovative relay was the teams’ strong sense of mission to contribute to a carbon-neutral society and a unique development system.
