OMRON Selected as one of the First DX Stocks~ Receives high rating for its unique sustainability initiatives ~

OMRON Corporation (HQ: Shimogyo-Ku, Kyoto. President and CEO: Junta Tsujinaga) announced today that it has been selected for the first time as one of the "Digital Transformation (DX) Stocks 2024" by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE).

The DX Stocks is an initiative to recognize companies for their continuous outstanding efforts for not only introducing exceptional information systems and utilizing data, but also boldly taking efforts to change their business models and management practices in a continuous manner based on digital technologies.

OMRON was highly evaluated for its management that emphasizes data utilization, the uniqueness of its i-BELT on-site data utilization service, and its interactive communication with stakeholders.

1 Management that emphasizes data utilization

Established Data Solution Business Division in December 2023 to utilize the strength of field data in OMRON's core businesses of Industrial Automation, Healthcare, Social systems, Solutions and Service and Device & Module Solutions, and it will lead OMRON towards shifting its emphasis from creating products to creating new values through Data Solution Business.

In addition, since 2017, Industrial Automation Business has been offering "i-BELT", a service that utilizes manufacturing site data to improve manufacturing productivity and quality. OMRON is working to solve increasingly complex manufacturing issues by combining unique products, such as a wealth of sensors and controllers that can collect data with high precision, and our experience of data utilization developed in our production sites. We are building an ecosystem around this "i-BELT" in collaboration with device partners, application partners and IoT platform partners. .



2 DX promotion strategy based on long-term vision

OMRON is transforming its business model to "data-based value creation" to realize its long-term vision "Shaping the Future 2030 (SF2030)." OMRON made JMDC, which conducts the medical statistical data business, an affiliate subsidiary, and formulating a strategy to create value.

Besides, with the aim of data-driven corporate management, OMRON is working to visualize human resources. In particular, with regard to human resources development, the human resources required are clearly defined for each role, and initiatives are being developed to enable not only training but also skill development and career selection.



3 Interactive communication with stakeholders

OMRON strives for two-way communication with stakeholders with the aim of achieving highly transparent management. As part of that, it holds quarterly financial results briefings with shareholders and investors, ESG briefings, and individual interviews with institutional investors, including those overseas, at more than 600 meetings each year. Moreover, consolidated reports and shareholder communications, OMRON focuses on enhancing the content of its securities reports, including its value creation stories, sustainability goals and results, and risk information.

OMRON will continue to improve its corporate value by providing data-driven solutions and further growing its business to realize SF2030 and contribute a better society.
