Omron in-house system development

INTERVIEW 01

Why did you choose OMRON DIGITAL when you were job hunting?

I chose OMRON DIGITAL because it was the company that valued people the most among those I encountered during my job search. Since job hunting is one of the few opportunities in life to choose the people and organization you want to work with, I wanted to make sure I joined a supportive environment where I could work with commitment. After joining, my impression has not changed—I continue to take on various challenges in this favorable environment.

INTERVIEW 02

What kind of work are you currently responsible for?

I am involved in the planning, development, and maintenance of systems, tools, and infrastructure used across the entire Omron Group. My work is not just writing code all day; it also involves stakeholder coordination, negotiations, planning and proposals, and post-release support. For development, I use multiple programming languages and tools to create websites, business tools, and automation robots. Recently, my main responsibilities have been modifying databases and websites and migrating them to new infrastructure in line with company-wide system changes.

INTERVIEW 03

Please share an episode where you felt fulfillment, excitement, or joy in your work.

I find it interesting to work together with people from across the Omron Group, from planning through to operations. Rather than just finishing development, I can stay close to users from the planning stage all the way to actual system use. Seeing that the systems I built are truly helping people, and hearing words like “Thanks to this, my work has become easier—thank you!” always gives me a sense of fulfillment.

INTERVIEW 04

What are your goals and dreams for the future?

First, I want to become someone who can play an active role across the Omron Group. Looking further ahead, I hope to become the kind of person who people from other companies would also want to work with. To achieve this, I want to develop not only the technical skills necessary for software development, but also management abilities that enable me to guide organizations in a better direction.
