Unveiling New Automation for a Greater Contribution to Indonesian Society
In December 2014, OMRON Total Fair Indonesia 2014 was held in Jakarta. The objective of the exhibition was to introduce the OMRON Group's comprehensive strengths to its stakeholders in Indonesia for the first time, reflecting the company's intention to make a greater contribution to the development of Indonesian society. The OMRON booth highlighted the ongoing breakthroughs in OMRON's automation technology and the potential it holds.
For more than 20 years, OMRON has worked alongside customers in Indonesia, and provided them with a wide range of products and services. OMRON also promotes locally rooted management practices by assigning local personnel to the position of senior executives. These actions demonstrate the company's commitment to contributing to the development of the automobile industry in Indonesia as well as personal health management through its business operations. It is our wish to continue attaining growth together with the Indonesian community.
The OMRON Total Fair drew lots of positive feedback from visitors. One customer remarked, "I was able to see for myself OMRON's commitment to anticipating the future of our society and developing technologies ahead of time." OMRON staff also had the opportunity to exchange views with customers regarding issues they were experiencing at their production facilities, as they watched production equipment on display.
Visitors were very impressed with OMRON monitors, which make it easy to monitor blood pressure from the comfort of one's own home. They were also amazed by OMRON's new sensing technology that enables smile measurement.

The ping-pong robot symbolizes a harmony between people and machines, which is essential for a more enriched society. This exhibit was a major focus of attention in Indonesia. Many customers had direct experience with a machine capable of adjusting to a human player by actually engaging in a ping-pong rally with the robot.

The Industrial Automation Zone featured OMRON's factory automation technologies assisting the steadily developing manufacturing industry in Indonesia.

The Life Innovation Zone introduced OMRON's high-quality electronic and mechanical components and its proprietary biosensing technology. Both of these are designed to help people lead better and healthier lives in a more environmentally responsible manner.
