OMRON Donates JPY 30 Million for China Earthquake Relief

Kyoto, Japan – OMRON Corporation (TOKYO: 6645, ADR: OMRNY) today announced that it would donate JPY 30 million to help victims of the massive earthquake that struck China’s Sichuan Province on Monday, May 12.

The donation, which is earmarked for emergency medical care, will be made through the Red Cross Society of China.

Through local offices, OMRON Healthcare, a subsidiary of OMRON Corp., will also donate RMB 250,000 in medical equipment (blood pressure monitors, thermometers and blood glucose monitors) to China’s Ministry of Health. The equipment will be used to provide medical assistance to evacuees from hard-hit areas.

OMRON would like to extend its sincere condolences to all those who have been affected by the earthquake.
