OMRON Agreed Sale of OMRON Laserfront Inc.

July 5, 2018, Kyoto, Japan ----- OMRON Corporation (HQ: Shimogyo-Ku, Kyoto. CEO: Yoshihito Yamada) and TOWA Corporation, a leading company of semiconductor molding machines, today came to an agreement to transfer all those stocks of OMRON Laserfront Inc. (hereafter OLFT) owned by OMRON to TOWA. The stock transfer will be completed on August 1, 2018.
Background
OLFT is one of the affiliated companies of OMRON Corporation, specialized in manufacturing, sales and after-sale services of Laser Oscillators and Specialized Machine Tool equipped with laser oscillator including "Laser Trimmer" and "Wafer Marker". Especially, known as a leading supplier of Laser Trimmer, OLFT has a solid customer base in manufacturers of electronic parts and semiconductors. Towards the achievement of the long-term strategy, "VG2020," OMRON has been strengthening its business portfolio management while developing business growth cycle and enhancing profitability. Through this process, OMRON made a decision to transfer its share of stocks of OLFT to TOWA.
