OMRON Ventures Co., Ltd. (CEO: Tomoko Inoue) is pleased to announce that it has made an investment in METRON (headquartered in Paris, France, CEO: Vincent Sciandra), provider of AI-based enterprise platform to support energy management and reduction in factories.

In recent years, there has been an accelerating movement toward carbon neutrality across the world. In the manufacturing industry, not only customers and suppliers, but also society as a whole is demanding that manufacturing companies achieve net zero emissions in their value chains and give environmental consideration to their products and services in order to achieve a "decarbonized society”.
Through this investment, Omron Ventures aims to spread and use of Metron Suite, Metron's platform, in order to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from production activities, which is a growing concern among manufacturing companies.
This will improve energy productivity in factories and, as a result, contribute to the realization of corporate carbon neutrality.
