New graduates of any background are more than welcome to apply. (Mid-career hiring is intended for people who can contribute immediately, so software skills are important.) OMRON DIGITAL hires new graduates from both the humanities and sciences, and people with liberal arts backgrounds also play active roles in the company.
We openly welcome anyone who learns about what we do here at OMRON DIGITAL and then has the genuine desire and motivation to be a part of our company. If you have no knowledge of software at this point in time, that is not a problem. Upon starting their jobs, new employees undergo technical training for a period of around two months, after which a trainer is assigned to each employee to provide follow-up support. Employees are also provided a wide range of opportunities to fill in knowledge and ability gaps by taking e-learning courses of their choice. Proactively taking advantage of these various opportunities for learning allows them to acquire a great deal of knowledge and skills related to software.

<New Graduates>
When new employees start their jobs, they take a course that teaches them the mindset, rules, and business manners expected of Omron Group employees. Following this course is a technical training period of about two months. During this time, employees learn the fundamental skills needed to be an engineer, such as coding languages (C language), programming, and the development process. Once assigned a position, each new employee is assigned a trainer for a period of one year, during which time they will continue learning through on-the-job training.
<Mid-Career Hires>
When mid-career employees start their jobs, they are provided with training to learn the basics of what they need to know as a member of the Omron Group, but they are not given the same technical training as new employees. The expectation is that they will be able to use their past experience to provide immediate contributions to the company. At the same time, they are given on-the-job training in order to understand the devices and products handled by the department to which they are assigned, the development process, and market trends for their department.
For both new graduates and mid-career hires, OMRON DIGITAL, in its role as a company that specializes in software, offers various training programs to help our employees improve their skills. But the most important factor is one's own motivation. Opportunities abound for those with the ambition to hone their abilities with us. We also offer numerous other opportunities for improvement in addition to our technical training programs.

<New Graduates>
The first three years of one's employment are considered a training period during which you will enhance your software development, systems engineers (SEs), and project management (PM) skills. Each workplace is staffed with a trainer or someone to consult with, who also provides support by way of on-the-job training. After that, we would like you to take on leadership roles such as Theme Leader, and ultimately progress to becoming a Business Leader capable of driving our business forward. Conversely, there are paths you can take in the company where you can focus on honing your technical skills and becoming highly specialized personnel as opposed to aiming for a leadership role. Employees are welcome to shape their careers according to their individual aspirations.
<Mid-Career Hires>
Mid-career hires will be expected to work immediately in the field corresponding to the position they filled. After that we will provide guidance to help you develop your career as you desire, whether you aim to become a Business Leader like new graduates or hone your skills as a highly skilled professional.
Both types of employees have a wealth of career design support available to them. The various training and consultation infrastructure detailed below offers a supportive environment that addresses employees' career designs on an individual basis.
White Hackers are people who can design and verify, from the perspective of a potential attacker, in the development and operation of OMRON DIGITAL's products and cloud services. This helps keep the systems, infrastructure, and software provided by OMRON DIGITAL safe so that our customers can use them safely and with peace of mind. In this era of digital transformation, strengthening security technology is absolutely essential, so OMRON DIGITAL is dedicated to training these White Hackers, giving them the skills they need, and increasing their numbers.
By utilizing the skills of these White Hackers to ensure secure design during product development and security monitoring for cloud services, we hope to expand our security business and make valuable contributions to the digital transformation of society.

Teleworking is not just for employees looking after small children or caring for family members; it benefits employees by letting them devote time that would otherwise be spent commuting to themselves and their work. Depending on the nature of the work, teleworking can also allow employees to work more productively in an environment where they can concentrate. In order to make these new ways of working a reality, OMRON DIGITAL took the lead ahead of other companies in creating a teleworking environment that has been in place since 2019. We provide every employee with a Wi-Fi router and a laptop computer. As we were able to create this kind of environment early on, we were able to transition smoothly to teleworking even as working from home suddenly became far more common due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and we now have a working style in place that can easily accommodate the era of coexisting with COVID.
While teleworking means fewer opportunities for interaction with coworkers, OMRON DIGITAL holds regular meetings and social gatherings via Teams and Zoom. We are continuously making efforts to improve our communication tools in order to allow employees to more easily interact with one another online.
