Smart Machines that Understand Human Thoughts and Behavior

As machines and equipment become increasingly automated, household appliances that we use on an everyday basis are now being labeled as "fully automatic." In light of this trend, various research projects are underway with the goal of creating machines that can handle tasks that previously required the experience and intuition of human experts. Such machines must be smart enough to extract and process high-value information on a level that approaches human ability, and thereby make important decisions through judgment of certain phenomena. To make this a reality, OMRON is engaged in research involving Knowledge Information Control Technology, which enables machines to tell the thoughts and behavior of users.
