The clean rooms function as the heart of the laboratory and feature facilities covering a total area of approximately 2,400m². They provide a nano-level device R&D environment for microphotonics, micromachining, optical fiber communications, and the other fields that promise to revolutionize the 21^st century. The clean rooms are also available to other collaborative research laboratories, to allow teamwork in creating new and innovative sensing and control technologies.

Special meeting rooms known as "collaborative innovation rooms" provide an ideal environment for original development. They serve as a base for cooperation between researchers from OMRON and elsewhere. These dedicated areas increase the confidentiality of collaborative themes and enable free discussion among researchers.Researchers can use these rooms as their offices, and can also freely use the facilities in the clean rooms and environmental laboratories when necessary. The rate of accomplishment is increased as these facilities can be used throughout extended research process, not only in design, prototyping, evaluation, and analytical phases, but right up to production.
