* Long-term management vision "Value Generation 2020":

OMRON has established the long-term management vision for 2020, "Value Generation 2020" (VG2020). This long-term management vision is a vision for resolving social problems globally through businesses applying the sensing and control technologies we have developed.

The goal of VG2020 is to become a global value-creating group that is qualitatively and quantitatively superior and to realize our aim of "sales of more than one trillion yen and an operating profit rate of 15%" as rapidly as possible.

The underlying concept of this goal is, through customers' recognition of OMRON's value creation for society and the Earth, to become a group that combines quality, i.e. profit, with quantity, i.e. sales. The key to the realization of VG2020 is growth in Asia.

Specifically, we aim to increase sales in Asia, excluding Greater China and Japan, by 100 billion yen from the current level of 70 billion yen to 170 billion yen by 2020. Indonesia is one of the most important countries in this Asian region.
