"Awareness and practice of corporate citizenship"
"Awareness and practice of corporate citizenship" is one of OMRON's management commitments. This commitment drives our volunteer and sponsorship activities, which are dedicated to giving back to the communities in which we do business and improving the quality of life (QOL) of those less fortuntate. We are particularly proud of our efforts to help people with disabilities achieve independence and to provide them with opportunities to demonstrate their unique abilities.
OMRON's corporate citizenship acitvities are centered around the following six areas.
Science & Technology
OMRON's technology helps foster harmony between people and machines.
Social Welfare
OMRON employs people with disabilities and supports sporting events that contribute to their integration into society.
Arts & Culture
OMRON's many philanthropic activities include culture forums and pipe organ concerts.
Global Environment
OMRON attempts to minimize the environmental impact of our business activities, engaging in volunteer activities such as forest clean ups.
International Exchange
Focuses on foster parenting and sweater knitting volunteer activities.
Community Support
Every year on May 10, OMRON employees from around the world celebrate the company's establishment by taking part in a wide range of volunteer activities.
OMRON will sponsor Japanese athletes at the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games.
