OMRON Ventures Co., Ltd. will celebrate its 10th anniversary in 2024. Since its inception, we have engaged in various initiatives as part of OMRON’s corporate venturing efforts. Initially, we invested in domestic agricultural startups to promote our agribusiness. We also launched accelerator programs such as Koto Challenge to support tech-based entrepreneurship. Later, we expanded our investment scope globally to include Silicon Valley and Europe, and broadened our investment fields beyond our existing business to include cutting-edge activities around the world. As a result, we have invested in over 25 companies globally, including in Japan, America, and Europe. We have also been active as limited partners in several leading global venture capital funds, helping to shape the startup ecosystem worldwide.

Starting in 2024, we will refresh our organizational structure and, based on our past experiences, reinvigorate our corporate venturing functions. We will enhance our investment strategy by deepening collaborations with Omron's existing and new business units. We will closely collaborate with our current investees and the global venture capital funds where we have LP investments, serving as a bridge between startups worldwide and Omron's businesses, driving innovation globally.
