Information Security Basic Policy

At the OMRON Group (hereinafter referred to as OMRON), under the fundamental principle that "a business should create value for society through its key practices," we declare our "Information Security Basic Policy" to systematically and continuously engage in information security in order to aim for the sustainable enhancement of corporate value through the practice of OMRON Principels.


(1) The management leads and promotes information security management
OMRON positions information security as an important "management issue" and will achieve improvements and enhancements in information security under the leadership of the management. Specifically, under the supervision of the Director in charge of Cybersecurity, a system with executive officers as the responsible executors will be established to take appropriate measures and codification.
(2) Compliance with laws and contractual requirements
OMRON complies with the laws and regulations set by each country regarding information security and fulfills the contractual obligations with our stakeholders.
(3) Providing safe products and services considering security
OMRON strives to provide products and services considering security for the safety and peace of mind of our customers. Therefore, the entire group will work on product security activities as security measures against cyber-attacks.
(4) Thorough education and training for all employees
OMRON continues to conduct ongoing education and training for all employees, working on the thorough dissemination of awareness, knowledge, regulations, and the improvement of technology regarding information security.
(5) Minimizing the impact of incidents and accidents and thorough prevention of recurrence
OMRON does not neglect to prepare for minimizing the impact of incidents and accidents such as unauthorized access, tampering, and information leakage. In the unlikely event that an incident or accident occurs, we will respond appropriately and work on identifying the cause and preventing recurrence.
