Saving Logistics Resource and CO2 Reduction

Our Stance

OMRON strives to reducing the use of packing materials for transportation by employing a returnable container system and reducing the weight of packing materials. By so doing, OMRON will promote improvement of transport efficiency in order to reduce CO2 emissions at the logistics stage.

FY2016 Overview

As for conservation of resources at the logistics stage, in fiscal 2016 the amount of packing materials used increased 17% in Japan and 9% abroad compared to the previous fiscal year. This was mainly due to the increase in production volume. Going forward, OMRON will continuously seek to reduce its usage of transport packing materials by revising the packing method, promoting reuse of packing materials and the use of lighter packing materials, and reducing the use of auxiliary packing materials.
