OMRON Releases New Programmable Terminal NA Series Using ICT - Boosting Productivity and Minimizing Downtime -
November 4, 2014
Kyoto, Japan -- OMRON Corporation (TSE: 6645, ADR: OMRNY) today announced the November release of its new NA series programmable terminal which helps improve capacity utilization of machines by displaying multimedia and sharing information via mobile devices.
The NA-series programmable terminal is the interface between operator and machine in the Sysmac automation platform (*1).
To improve productivity by increasing capacity utilization, all workers are required to share data on each device incorporated in machines in real time and solve various problems quickly. The NA series provides the system to display real-time device data on remote tablets and PCs through Ethernet or Wi-Fi in addition to on its own screen. This allows both machine operators and authorized people inside and outside the factory to access the same information instantly. Fast troubleshooting and improvement will increase productivity.
Powerful graphics and multimedia function provide operators with how to perform troubleshooting procedures in an understandable way by showing documents including PDFs and playing video files (*2) in the latest format. Accurate troubleshooting will minimize machine downtime.
