- FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Kyoto, Japan - OMRON Corporation (TSE: 6645, US: OMRNY) has announced plans to release an ultra-slim 0.6-mm connector for FPCs (Flexible Printed Circuits) this summer.
The XF3A has an ultra-low profile, with a pitch of 0.3 mm, a height of 0.6 mm and a depth of 3.8 mm (when locked), representing a 33% reduction compared to previous OMRON models. When it is released, the XF3A will be the industry’s slimmest commercially available FPC connector with a backlock mechanism.1
FPC connectors are used in a wide range of applications, including mobile devices such as phones, MP3 players and notebook PCs. OMRON developed the XF3A in response to increased demand for slimmer FPC connectors with backlock mechanisms, which support the development of thinner devices.
