OMRON Launches New 2000-yen Bill Changer

OMRON Corporation has announced the launch of its brand new multifunction bill changer, the BTR730 series, that allows the deposit and withdrawal of new 2000-yen notes (scheduled for issuance this July) and new 500-yen coins.

OMRON Corporation has announced the launch of its brand new multifunction bill changer, the BTR730 series, that allows the deposit and withdrawal of new 2000-yen notes (scheduled for issuance this July) and new 500-yen coins. These capabilities make the BTR730 the first system of its kind in Japan. By adding this new bill changer to the lineup of automated teller machines capable of handling new 2000-yen notes for which the company has already begun receiving orders, OMRON is now equipped with a full range of 21st Century financing systems.

Based on the full awareness of its responsibility to the public as a leading maker of automated banking systems that accurately meet the needs of the financial industry ahead of its competition, OMRON has been committed to the development of the new ATM and bill changer. OMRON started receiving orders for the new bill changer on February 16, and is currently prepared to begin its extensive-scale launch of the new bill changer this July, with a goal to sell more than 5,000 units in the next three years.

The BTR730

The BTR730 series consists of four models -- the standard BTR730, the BTR730-Alpha featuring an automatic counting function for the machine´s available cash amount, the BTR730M equipped with US dollar and other foreign currency withdrawal capability, and the compact BTR510. The four models all have the following main features:

New 2000-yen Note and 500-yen Coin Handling Capability
Available first among all bill changers, the BTR730 series can accommodate the deposit and withdrawal of new 2000-yen notes. Incorporating a recycling mechanism in its paper bill storage unit has allowed the BTR730 series to directly use deposited bills for the next withdrawal, adding to user convenience.

BTR730 Features -- The Highest Paper Bill Capacity Ever
The BTR730 features a deposit capacity of 2,000 paper bills and a withdrawal capacity of 12,800 paper bills (the highest among all available bill changers), thus reducing the frequency of refilling bills and allowing the extension of financial services hours.

BTR730-Alpha Features
While maintaining all the quality functions of the BTR730, the BTR730- Alpha also features a capability that automatically counts the amount of paper bills, coins and coin packages stored in the machine -- a first of its kind. This automates checking of available cash within the machine (formerly done manually by bank staff), which directly contributes to the reduction of required personnel.

BTR730M Features
In addition to the BTR730 features, the BTR730M is capable of withdrawing US dollars and other foreign currencies -- another first of its kind. This allows banks and financial institutes to quickly meet their customers´ increasing needs for the automatic exchange of yen into foreign currencies.

BTR510

BTR510
Designed to satisfy the space-saving needs of users, the BTR510 offers all the basic functions of the BTR730, while maintaining its extra compact dimensions.
