Current Situation of RoHS Compliance for OMRON Electronic Components
All of the products shown on the OMRON Electronic Components Website ("this website") comply with the
RoHS Directive. Ask your OMRON representative or any OMRON dealer for information on the RoHS
compliance of products not shown on this website (including products that have been discontinued).
Activities for RoHS-compliant Products
The RoHS Directive (Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment) was implemented in the European Union (EU) on July 1, 2006. The RoHS Directive prohibits the use of six substances in electrical and electronic equipment in the EU. The six substances are lead (Pb), mercury (Hg),
cadmium (Cd), hexavalent chromium (Cr+6), polybrominated biphenyl (PBB), and polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE).
OMRON completed compliance with the RoHS Directive for all products which might be expected to be used in the EU and the parts used in these products at the end of June 2006. RoHS-compliant Products
The RoHS Compliance Mark appears on the packages of all OMRON products from which the six substances specified in the RoHS Directive have been eliminated (including during processing and in electronic components on PCBs).
Note : Some products have inadvertently been eliminated because RoHS-compliant parts have been classified as non-compliant parts due to conditions at our suppliers.
