Solidifying partnership with suppliers through individual interviews
To strengthen partnerships with its suppliers, OMRON has been meeting annually with its main suppliers in Japan to directly communicate the company’s basic attitude toward CSR procurement.
OMRON also distributes requests to suppliers regarding eight basic requirements, including assurance of quality, environmental preservation, respect for human rights, and appropriate labor practices, and posts them on its website. Specifically, OMRON asks suppliers to strictly forbid discrimination in recruiting and employment, child or compulsory labor, or any other practice that would inhibit the establishment of an appropriate working environment.
OMRON will further clarify the positioning of its suppliers as "partners" in CSR procurement and set forth measures to build a “win-win” relationship, while sharing these measures with them.
