Expanding initiatives to recognize excellent patents
Against the backdrop of amendments to the Patent Law, OMRON's Super Patent System was entirely revised in 2005 from a reward-based system to one based on compensation. The scope of evaluation was broadened and the upper limit for the amount of compensation was removed.
A new Excellent Patent Award and Excellent Patent Reward System have been implemented for the revised Super Patent System. Excellent inventions by employees are recognized with the Excellent Patent Award, and an Excellent Patent Reward will be paid for patents that become registered.
