OMRON places great importance on recruiting a variety of highly talented people, regardless of gender, and encourages all employees to demonstrate their capabilities to the fullest. To ensure gender equality, OMRON also strives to create a more comfortable working environment for women as well as men and promote more women to managerial positions.

Expanding support initiatives

In fiscal 2006, OMRON Corporation expanded support initiatives for employees to achieve a balance between their work and personal lives, and provided a female leader training course in its third year. By the end of fiscal 2006, four female employees were in management and one was qualified as a specialist (see Specialist System). OMRON will continue to promote effective strategies to provide women with greater opportunities.
