Basic approach and related initiatives
On-the-job training (OJT) is a vital pillar of OMRON's capability development system. Complementing the system are the In-house Training System and the Self-education Support System, which can be freely undertaken by employees.
Proactive utilization of "e-learning"
In fiscal 2006, an e-learning self-education system using the Internet and intranet was also actively utilized. In the future, e-learning will be further developed by expanding it to the domestic OMRON Group.

| E-learning | A system that is operated to complement group training and to support self-education. |
| Correspondence courses | Employees are reimbursed for half of course fees (subject to an upper limit) if the specified correspondence course is completed. |
| Video library | Approximately 600 videos can be borrowed free of charge. |
| Simplified capability testing system | This simplified capability test can be performed free of charge using a Notes database. |
| Incentive pay for acquiring certifications | Incentive pay is provided to employees who acquire specified official certification. |
| Self-education courses | Regular language and other self-education courses are conducted at each place of business. |
