OMRON Electronic Components (Shenzhen) Ltd., ECB's core production base in China, received the Guangdong provincial government's "Clean Producer" certification in June 2007. This certification is awarded to companies who promote sustainable business operations by implementing a production system designed to conserve energy and resources and reduce waste. In fiscal 2007, a total of 40 companies were certified, including several Japanese companies.
