OMRON strives to reduce the amount of containers and packaging materials used for products, such as individual product boxes, trays and sticks.
FY2010 Overview
In Japan, with the upturn in the economy, usage of containers and packaging materials increased approximately 5% compared to fiscal 2009.
Overseas, while some production sites enjoyed increased production volume, there were also factories which were sold to other companies or suffered lowered levels of production. As a result, usage of containers and packaging materials marked a minor increase of 0.6% as a whole compared to fiscal 2009.
