Basic approach and related initiatives

In order to prevent air and water pollution, OMRON strives to reduce our environmental load by monitoring and measuring the emission of materials that impact the environment and implementing policies to reduce these emissions.

Prevention of Air Pollution

Efforts have been made to limit the generation and emission of nitrogen oxide (NOx) and sulfur oxide (SOx) by eliminating boilers, switching fuel to low-sulfur oil, periodically inspecting and thoroughly maintaining equipment, and enhancing the management of operating schedules.

Prevention of Water Pollution

Efforts have been made to limit the emission of biological oxygen demand (BOD) and chemical oxygen demand (COD) substances by installing equipment at drainage locations to decompose and remove organic matter and by performing complete periodic inspections of wastewater treatment tanks.
